Education

We would love The Borrowed Book to be a place where people of all ages can learn, share ideas and explore new interests.

We are keen to work with local teachers, tutors, writers, historians and other educators who would like to use our space for small, welcoming sessions and events. These might include:

  • Creative writing workshops

  • Local history talks

  • Literature discussions

  • Reading and study groups

  • One-to-one or small-group tutoring

  • Homework and revision support

  • Poetry workshops

  • Talks from visiting speakers

  • Sessions for children and young people

  • Adult learning and informal evening classes

 

We are also open to new ideas, particularly those connected to books, writing, history, culture and the local community.
