Supporting local creatives is something we are genuinely passionate about at The Borrowed Book.

We would love to hear from authors based in Morecambe, Lancaster and the surrounding areas, as well as writers with a meaningful connection to the local community. We want our bookshop to be a place where local talent can be discovered, celebrated and brought together with new readers.

There may be opportunities for us to support local authors through:

• Stocking selected books in the shop

• Book launches and signing events

• Author talks, readings and question-and-answer sessions

• Workshops or writing groups

• Social media features and recommendations

• Collaborative events with local book clubs

• Displays highlighting local authors and local stories

As a small independent bookshop, we may not be able to accommodate every proposal, but we are always keen to hear about new books, creative ideas and opportunities to work together.
